Drug Disposal Program

The Elgin Police Department has launched a prescription medication disposal program. A permanent prescription drop box is in the lobby of the police department, 151 Douglas Street. Residents should remove identifying information from the labels before dropping them off. Pills, salves and liquid medication will be accepted from their original containers or in sealed plastic bags. For details call the police at 847-289-2700.
